To start the game: Face the green side top.


- Edges (ed) will have only two colors
- Corners (cr) will have three colors
- Center (cen) will have one color and cannot be changed

Always face the green center side upwards

  • Layer 1
    • Phase 1 (The Cross)
      • Find Edge
      • Connect the color with center color
      • Connect the green
      • Correct the mistakes
    • Phase 2 (The corners)
      • Find Corner
      • Optimal Position (Green Facing to our side in layer 3)
      • Place Corner (Bring the cube between the two appropriate center colors, if the colors are red, green, yellow - bring the cube between red and yellow)
      • Insert Corner
        • Move layer 3 it away (left or right depends on position)
        • if moved left, 
          • bring the right side down
          • Move layer  to right
          • lift the right side up
  • Layer 2
    • Find Edge
      • Look for an edge in Layer 3 that doesn't have blue
    • Align Edge
      • Align the edge with appropriate center
    • Place Edge In
      • Look for the other color in the edge
      • The color (side) will be in either on left or right
      • If left
        • Move layer 3 away from the color (rotate to right)
        • Bring down the left side
        • Realign the edge (rotate left layer 3)
        • Lift the left side up
        • If you missed the corner, fix it as it is described in Phase 2 of layer 1
      • if right do reverse of left
      • Mostly we will be able to do all 3 edge and 4th edge will be in right position but in wrong order, if so
        • put some random edge there
          • Move the layer 3 away (rotate left layer 3)
          • Bring down the right side
          • realign the edge back to original (rotate right layer 3)
          • Lift right side up 
          • If you missed the corner, fix it as it is described in Phase 2 of layer 1
        • Now go to Allign Edge Step and follow the rest
  • Layer 3
    • Build Cross
      • Hold the cube such a way the Blue side facing upwards and Green downwards
      • The blue side can have any of the following design
        • One Blue (Center)
          • Holding the cube: anyway you like (blue up/green down)
          • Algo: F R U R' U' F' (you get L shape)
            • F - Front clockwise (to right side)
            • R - Right clockwise (to upside)
            • U - Up left side
            • L - towards down side
            • ' for reverse
        • L shape blue (2 edges and center)
          • Holding the cube: One blue edge facing right and another facing to you) - It will be like |-
          • Algo: F R U R' U' F' (you get Line shape)
        • Line shape (Vertical or Horizontal)
          • Holding the cube: The line should be horizontal
          • Algo: F R U R' U' F' (you get Cross shape)
        • Cross (You should be lucky :))
    • Align Cross ( Edge and Corner colors should be same )
      • Once you finish the cross, you should definitely get atleast two edges matched up, if not turn the top layer  (blue facing up)
      • Facing one matching side to your side, The matches can be
        • Opposite sides
          • Hold: One matching side to your side and another one away from you.
          • Algo: R U2 R' U' R U' R' (you will get alignment in side)
        • Right Sides
          • Hold: One incorrect facing to you and another one facing to right side
          • Algo: R U2 R' U' R U' R' 
            • If all sides are not aligned, just turn once the top layer
    • Place Corners
      • Corners should be placed between the three colors
      • You will get following patterns
        • None of the color placed properly
          • Hold: which ever way you want
          • Algo: L' U R U' L U R' U'
            • If cross is missed, do one turn of top layer
        • One is placed 
          • Hold: The placed cube should be right hand side towards you (bottom-right facing blue up)
          • Algo: L' U R U' L U R' U' (Repeat until all corners are placed correctly) - may take more times
        • 4 corners placed correctly
    • Orient Corners
      • 3 corners (worst case)
        • Hold: Correct corner on left hand side towards you(bottom-left on facing blue side)
        • Algo: R U2 R' U' R U' R'  L' U2 L U L' U L
      • 2 corners not oriented properly but on same line 
        • Step 2 of 4 corners.
      • 2 corners not oriented properly but on diagonal ends
        • Hold: One incorrect right side towards you [bottom-right (blue facing right)]
        • Algo: R U2 R' U' R U' R'  L' U2 L U L' U L
      • 4 corners placed properly 
        • one to your side and one away you 
          • Hold: in such a way the pattern is facing right
          • Algo: R U2 R' U' R U' R'  L' U2 L U L' U L (until you get next step)
        • Two blues on same side
          • Hold:  Two blues pointing to right side
          • Algo: R U2 R' U' R U' R'  L' U2 L U L' U L

My Experience
  • While making cross in layer 1/phase 1,
    • if the other is facing up instead of green
      • Hold the cube in such a way that the intent cube come right side
      • turn right side anti-clockwise (down) 1 time
      • turn center row clockwise 1 time
      • turn right row anti-clockwise (up) 1 time (green will be facing up)
      • turn back the center row (ant-clockwise) 1 time, so that the other color matches the center color.
